Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality (OAP), Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast following a heated controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan.
The controversy erupted after reality TV star DeeOne alleged on the podcast that VeryDarkMan had an interest in men. Rather than addressing the claim directly, VeryDarkMan shifted focus to Nedu, exposing private conversations and making allegations about his past relationships.
As the situation escalated, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to reveal his decision to step down, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.
“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me,” he stated. “Hosting The Honest Bunch has been an incredible journey, but the scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations have taken a personal toll.”
Nedu emphasized that while he remains committed to open conversations, stepping back was necessary to put an end to the negativity surrounding his name.
Launched in 2022 by Glitch Africa, The Honest Bunch is a talk show hosted by Nedu alongside Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne. With Nedu’s exit, the future of the podcast remains uncertain as fans react to the unfolding drama.
