Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 54-year-old businessman, Paul Mbadugha, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, after he was found to have ingested 88 wraps of cocaine. In addition, NDLEA officers at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, intercepted a shipment of 800 grams of “Loud,” a synthetic strain of cannabis, concealed in noodles. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of Nnamani Sunday Sunny, the sender of the consignment. Furthermore, a large consignment of “Loud” imported from Canada was seized at Lagos airport, leading to the arrest of Desalu Taophic Temitope.

NDLEA also reported other significant drug seizures across the country, including over 892,400 bottles of codeine-based syrup in Port Harcourt, cannabis plantations in Ekiti, and numerous arrests related to tramadol and pentazocine in various states.
