The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) has recognized and rewarded one of its staff members, Mr. Auwal Dankode, for his honesty after finding and returning $10,000 while cleaning an aircraft in Kano.

According to a statement released on Saturday, Dankode, a Kano native, discovered the money left by a passenger on seat No. 25H of an MS 878 aircraft operated by Egypt Air at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) last Wednesday. He immediately handed the money over to the airline’s Station Manager.

The Group Managing Director/CEO of NAHCO, Mr. Indranil Gupta, praised Dankode for his integrity and appointed him as the company’s Brand Ambassador, awarding him a cash prize and a promotion. Gupta commended Dankode for embodying NAHCO’s values of honesty, integrity, diligence, and hard work, stating, “We celebrate your being, and we want this to be just the beginning.”

During the ceremony, other NAHCO executives, including the CFO, Mr. Adeoye Emiloju, and COO, Mr. Didier Steullet, also applauded Dankode’s exemplary character, urging him to remain steadfast in his values.
