The highly anticipated fight between former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul has been postponed after Tyson experienced a health scare. The 57-year-old boxing legend needed medical treatment during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday due to nausea and dizziness. Subsequent medical examinations revealed an ulcer flare-up, leading doctors to advise minimal training for Tyson over the next few weeks.

Fight organizers confirmed the postponement in a statement on Friday, emphasizing the importance of both fighters having equal preparation time. Tyson and Paul agreed on the necessity of rescheduling to ensure fair competition. Tyson assured his fans of his recovery and readiness for the fight once rescheduled, expressing confidence in his physical condition.

The new date for the fight, initially scheduled for July 20 in Texas, will be announced by June 7. Jake Paul supported the postponement, wanting Tyson to be fully prepared to avoid any excuses.

Tyson, who last fought professionally in 2005, was set to face the 27-year-old Paul in an eight-round bout sanctioned by Texas boxing authorities. Despite concerns from the boxing community about Tyson’s safety, the former champion dismissed these worries, asserting his capability and readiness for the match.
