Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has spoken out about alleged bullying, intimidation, and threats to her life by her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachi, also known as EeZee Tee, the owner of EeZee Conceptz.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Chinwo recounted how she was allegedly forced to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt due to an increasingly toxic environment created by her former associate.
She revealed that EeZee Tee had made disturbing remarks, saying:
“He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.’ I became scared for my life.”
She further alleged that he withheld her royalties for two years and accused him of filing a lawsuit against her and fellow gospel artist Minister Judikay, only to falsely claim she had sued him first.
Chinwo also addressed a past controversy involving gospel minister Nathaniel Bassey, clarifying that her former manager sponsored fake news falsely claiming Bassey had fathered her child.
“One of my major crimes was when I did a song with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, he went as far as sponsoring fake news about an innocent child, my son.”
She further alleged that EeZee Tee paid bloggers to push false narratives and even attempted to sabotage her career by discouraging her from attending Pastor Jerry Eze’s events.
Chinwo’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, disclosed that tensions escalated in 2019 when EeZee Tee allegedly pressured her to extend her five-year contract to 12 years, a proposal she refused.
He stated:
“EeZee Tee continues to intimidate her, isolating and bullying her, misleading people, and interfering with her career.”
In April 2024, Nathaniel Bassey formally petitioned Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, demanding an investigation and prosecution of four individuals who spread the false paternity rumors about him and Chinwo’s child.
This controversy is the latest development in the long-standing legal battle between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee Tee, who previously managed her under EeZee Conceptz.
