Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been elected as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The election, in which MC Oluomo ran unopposed, took place on Saturday at the union’s Zonal Secretariat along the Osogbo/Ikirun road in Osun State. Delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states participated in the voting process.

MC Oluomo, who previously served as the chairman of NURTW’s Lagos State chapter, expressed his dedication to fostering unity within the union. Speaking after taking the oath of office, he urged union members to prioritize peace and cooperation, saying, “I have forgiven everyone that offended me, and I wish those I offended would forgive me as well.”

In a further appeal for unity, he emphasized the importance of preserving the organization, stating, “This is our union, and we must be committed to its preservation. We will not allow anyone to destroy our means of livelihood,” He said.
