Nigerian Singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, is under fire after using Nickie Dabarbie’s voice in his new song.

This comes after Nickie previously accused him of attempting to use her for rituals and spiking her drink—allegations which Mayorkun has vehemently denied, claiming he has never met her.

The controversy intensified when Mayorkun teased his new track featuring Nickie’s voice. Social media users have expressed mixed reactions, with some criticizing him and others speculating whether the situation is a publicity stunt.

“You dey sue person for calling you out but you’re using her voice to make music. So what if she sues for using her voice?” commented eddyson31_.

Another user, smallestbarber, noted, “Don’t even fight with an artist; them go use you do song las las.”

Meanwhile, official_smattkinzy suggested, “I’m now suspecting that all this na PR. Una well done oh. Abeg my people them say that gal dey for jail now, but no one knows which prison she dey or someone say that he/she have visited her in the prison.”

symplyjemmy expressed disapproval: “This is not nice tho; you could tell she wasn’t herself. Using her voice tune isn’t nice at all.”

However, succefull_peterz_nation added a different perspective, “But Nikki Barbie got correct royalty for this feature because her intro mad gan!”

The situation remains a topic of heated debate, with opinions divided on whether Mayorkun’s actions are justified or part of a larger promotional strategy.
