A fierce gun battle erupted between soldiers and bandits in the Aba branch of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries. Sources confirmed that the confrontation occurred last night, leading to panic among residents.

According to a local source, “Some non-state actors attacked and killed some soldiers in the area yesterday. The whole place is on fire, and troops have taken over nearby communities.” The ongoing violence has caused many residents to flee, creating a climate of fear and uncertainty in the area.

A resident who wished to remain anonymous expressed their fear, stating, “We are terrified. The sound of gunfire is still echoing in our ears. We don’t know what will happen next. We are worried; Ehime used to be a serene environment. We don’t know what is happening.”
