French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, are preparing to present photographic and scientific evidence to a U.S. court to prove that Brigitte Macron is a woman, their lawyer confirmed.
The couple filed a defamation lawsuit last July in Delaware against American right-wing commentator Candace Owens, who has repeatedly claimed Brigitte was born male, stole another identity, and alleged bizarre conspiracies including incest and CIA mind control.
Their attorney, Tom Clare, explained in an interview that the allegations have been deeply distressing to Brigitte Macron and serve as a distraction to the President.
Clare emphasized the emotional toll such attacks on family take even on the head of state, who balances public duties with personal life. He confirmed expert, scientific testimony would be offered, though details remain confidential.
Brigitte Macron is reportedly ready to undergo “uncomfortable but necessary” steps in court to set the record straight and restore the truth. Clare stressed her determination to face the ordeal to stop the damaging falsehoods.
Candace Owens has not backed down; her lawyers have filed motions to dismiss the suit, arguing free speech protections.
This U.S. case follows earlier defamation battles in France, initially ruled in favor of the Macrons but later overturned on appeal due to free expression rights.
The legal fight highlights the Macron couple’s commitment to combating misinformation and protecting their personal and public dignity against groundless conspiracy theories that have circulated online for years.
