Thirteen individuals, including seven Nigerians, were deported from Libya for violating Libyan state laws. The deportation was managed by Libya’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) and took place at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center in Benghazi. According to a post on X by Migrant Rescue Watch, those deported included three Bangladeshis, three Ghanaians, and seven Nigerians, who were escorted out via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.

Libya, a critical transit point for migrants en route to Europe, has recently heightened enforcement measures to curb illegal migration and ensure security and legal compliance. In collaboration with international organizations like Frontex, the Libyan authorities aim to address the ongoing migrant crisis.
