
Some members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have visited the Department of State Security (DSS) office in Magodo, Lagos, following the detention of two of their colleagues. The detained lawmakers, Hon. Lanre Afinni and Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, were invited by the DSS for questioning related to matters concerning the state assembly.
Sources confirm that one of the lawmakers has been released, while the other remains in DSS custody. Among those present at the DSS office were Hon. Abiodun Tobun (Epe constituency), Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti-Osa constituency), Hon. Kehinde Joseph (Alimosho constituency), and Hon. Solomon Bonu (Badagry constituency), along with several other members.
The situation has raised tensions within the House, as the lawmakers demand answers regarding their colleagues’ detainment.
