The Kogi State government has accused suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of inciting unrest, following her homecoming rally despite a government-imposed ban on political gatherings and convoys.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, dismissed Natasha’s claims that Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and incumbent Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo were behind her ordeal.

Fanwo described Natasha as a “serial manipulator” and “security threat,” alleging that her defiance of state directives was a deliberate attempt to stir violence in Kogi Central.

“This is yet another desperate and calculated attempt by an incurable liar to mislead the public, incite unrest, and present herself as a victim after deliberately violating the ban on political gatherings,” the statement read.

The government insisted that Natasha’s accusations were baseless and an attempt to cover up her disregard for state laws.

“We will not allow any part of the state to go up in flames nor permit the killing of innocent souls by the actions of the suspended senator,” Fanwo added.

While stating that the government would ensure peace and security for all citizens, the commissioner warned that Natasha would be held responsible if any violence erupted due to her actions.
