The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, has died in Egypt where he was receiving medical treatment.

He reportedly passed away in Cairo after battling an undisclosed illness, according to sources close to the state government.

His death was confirmed in a statement by an aide to the Kebbi State House of Assembly, describing the development as a major loss to the state, the legislature, and his constituents.

The late lawmaker represented Zuru Constituency and served as Speaker of the 10th Kebbi State Assembly, where he was regarded as a key figure in legislative affairs.

Tributes have begun to emerge from political figures and stakeholders, many of whom described him as dedicated and committed to public service.
