Rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West has publicly called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing multiple charges related to sex trafficking and abuse.

West took to social media on Thursday, posting on X (formerly Twitter) with the message: “FREE PUFF.” He later directly appealed to Trump, writing, “@realDonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF.”

Combs, 55, was arrested by the NYPD on September 16 and has been denied bail three times. He is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. If convicted, he could face a life sentence.

In addition to the criminal charges, Combs is battling several sexual assault lawsuits, including one naming Jay-Z as a co-defendant. Some of the allegations involve minors, including a 10-year-old boy.

West also criticized other celebrities for remaining silent on Combs’ situation, referencing past controversies involving Chris Brown.

His plea comes shortly after Trump granted pardons to nearly 1,500 defendants involved in the January 6th Capitol riot. It remains unclear whether Trump will respond to West’s request.
