Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has experienced a devastating double tragedy, losing both his mother and eldest son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, within a day.
Abdulwahab tragically died in a car accident on the Kafin Hausa-Dutse road while traveling with friends. The vehicle reportedly lost control and somersaulted, killing Abdulwahab on the spot. His friends sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Dutse General Hospital.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, confirmed the incident to Daily Post.
The late Abdulwahab’s remains have been transported to Kafin Hausa for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
This loss follows the passing of Governor Namadi’s mother, deepening the family’s sorrow during this challenging time. Messages of condolence have begun pouring in from across the country, with many expressing solidarity with the governor and his family.
