In a shocking turn of events, renowned musician and producer Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has been accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside hip-hop star Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, in the year 2000.

The allegations, which emerged in an updated complaint filed on Sunday, claim that the assault occurred at an after-party following the MTV Video Music Awards in September of that year.

The lawsuit details that another celebrity allegedly witnessed the assault but did nothing to intervene. The complaint states, “Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor. Many others were present at the after-party, but did nothing to stop the assault.” The plaintiff remains unnamed in the lawsuit, which initially identified Jay-Z as “Celebrity A.”

Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations, describing them as “heinous” and accusing the lawyer representing the case, Tony Buzbee, of attempting to blackmail him.

In a statement released by his label Roc Nation, Jay-Z expressed his outrage, stating, “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter… What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are.” He further urged for the allegations to be taken to criminal court, emphasizing that those who commit such crimes against minors should face justice.
