Gospel artiste, Tim Godfrey has shared details of his unexpected ordeal in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was briefly detained without clear reasons.
The Nigerian musician described the situation as confusing and frightening, adding that he resorted to prayer for divine intervention.
“By the second day, things became confusing and frightening. I began praying at intervals, sometimes with my wife over the phone, asking God to give us evidence that he was indeed the one who sent us to praise him with his people and to give all the glory to him,” Godfrey wrote on his X account.
He revealed that what was supposed to be a brief stop in Nairobi turned into a more complicated experience. “There wasn’t any legit reason given for why I was held,” he added.
Fortunately, Godfrey later experienced a breakthrough, although his luggage was misplaced. Despite the challenges, Godfrey successfully performed in South Africa, attributing the positive outcome to God’s faithfulness. “But even in this, God showed Himself faithful, as the performance in Johannesburg, South Africa, was filled with undeniable evidence of His mercy on every soul present,” he shared.
