Isaac Bristol Tamunobifiri, popularly known as PIDOM Nigeria, has been granted bail after facing a nine-count charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria.
The charges were brought against him by the Inspector-General of Police.
Previously, PIDOM was denied bail by Justice Emeka Nwite during an earlier arraignment. The police alleged that he illegally accessed restricted data and shared directives from the IGP’s office, claiming he was involved in criminal conspiracy, offenses against the Official Secrets Act, and various other serious charges.
Rights activist Omoyele Sowore announced PIDOM’s bail on social media, urging support for his release with the hashtag #FREEPIDOMNIGERIANOW.
