After prolonged discussions, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) announced it has reached an agreement with Dangote Refinery, allowing members to lift petrol, diesel, and kerosene directly from the facility.

IPMAN’s National President, Abubakar Maigandi Shettima, emphasized the significance of the deal, stating, “This partnership ensures steady, affordable fuel supplies nationwide and aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. IPMAN members should now rely on Dangote Refinery and Nigerian refineries for product supplies, supporting job creation and reducing foreign exchange burdens.”

Shettima also addressed the Federal Government’s push for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a vehicle fuel alternative. He urged IPMAN members to prepare for CNG station transitions, emphasizing the potential economic benefits and calling for collaborative efforts with the Petroleum CNG Initiative to enhance accessibility to CNG outlets across Nigeria.
