
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially confirmed the arrest of popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border in the early hours of Monday.
In a statement released by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo, the Service revealed that Bobrisky was apprehended due to being a “person of interest” in connection to several ongoing investigations and public concerns.
Udo stated, “In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, the Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, otherwise known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country.”
He further explained, “The Service wishes to inform the public that OKUNEYE IDRIS is a person of interest over recent issues of public concern. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”
The statement also reassured the public that the NIS remains committed to fulfilling its duties professionally and with civility, particularly in securing Nigeria’s borders.
Bobrisky’s arrest comes amidst ongoing investigations and controversies surrounding his alleged involvement in several legal and public disputes. The NIS has promised to provide further updates as the situation unfolds.
