Popular Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has reassured his fans of his recovery and announced that he plans to make a full return to work by 2025.
In a series of tweets on Monday, Omori shared an update on his health journey, posting a picture of himself on his verified X account. He wrote, “It’s mind over matter. If the mind is defeated, it’s only a matter of time before the body falls. Pain has no power over me. Hope the designer covers these scars.”
Reflecting on his recovery, he added, “I will be back in 2025. Stay in love!” This statement has given hope to his fans, who have been eagerly following his recovery since his kidney transplant.
In August, Omori revealed that he had undergone the surgery at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, expressing gratitude to his brother, who donated one of his kidneys. Despite facing complications post-surgery, the celebrated director remained positive, frequently updating fans on his recovery progress.
“While I can’t show my gratitude with a backflip, I’m steadily improving and will keep fighting,” he said. Omori also thanked his supporters, expressing eagerness to return to directing music videos that have thrilled his audience for years.
His announcement has sparked a wave of well-wishes and support from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have commended his resilience through this health challenge.
