Despite being relieved of her duties as the Minister of Women Affairs by President Bola Tinubu, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has pledged to support the President in his efforts to improve Nigeria.

In a statement shared on her official X account (@BarrUjuKennedy) on Saturday, she expressed her commitment to Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and encouraged Nigerians to maintain their optimism for the country’s future.

“This is a test of time, a highly spiritual movement that no human being can stop,” she asserted. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is destined to fix Nigeria and I, Barr Uju Kennedy will fight alongside him to the last. Let’s be optimistic Nigeria will be great!”

Kennedy-Ohanenye’s remarks come in the wake of her removal, which was part of a cabinet reshuffle that also affected other ministers, including Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Prof. Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (Housing), and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Youth Development).

In a previous letter of appreciation dated October 24, she expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, stating, “It has been an honour and a privilege to contribute to the development of our nation.”

This cabinet reshuffle included the re-assignment of ten ministers and the nomination of seven new ministers for Senate confirmation.
