Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has commended Hon. Rasak Oyelami for his impactful support to the people of Ward 04, Opete, in Odo-Otin Local Government Area. Hon. Oyelami distributed Two Million Naira to his constituents, a gesture Governor Adeleke described as exemplary leadership.
Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke praised Hon. Oyelami for giving back to his community and urged other political appointees to emulate his actions. He specifically applauded the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, for steering the party with transparency and accountability.
The Governor emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement, urging appointees to regularly visit their constituencies and ensure the dividends of democracy reach the people. “The dividend of democracy is not meant for one person alone. It is good to spread and share it, no matter how small, so everyone can benefit. That should be our philosophy,” he said.
Governor Adeleke reassured citizens of his administration’s commitment to impactful projects in the remaining two years of his tenure. “As you enjoy my dancing, you will also enjoy the good works of my government,” he added, dismissing opposition claims about being the true progressives and affirming the PDP’s status as the only progressive party.
In his remarks, Hon. Rasak Oyelami expressed gratitude to the Governor for attending the event. “Your Excellency, I deeply appreciate your presence here today. It shows your dedication to the people and your commitment to grassroots development. Your leadership inspires us to give back to our communities,” he said.
He also thanked Hon. Sunday Bisi for his contributions to the party and reflected on his relationship with the Adeleke family. “I owe a lot to the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family for their support over the years. They have not only contributed to my personal growth but also to the progress of Osun State. For this, I remain forever grateful,” Hon. Oyelami added.
The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, also praised Governor Adeleke for leading with integrity and delivering results.
The event was graced by an array of dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; PDP State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi; SUBEB Chairman, Hon.
