Four people have been rescued after a section of a two-storey residential apartment collapsed in Abuja on Saturday morning, leaving several others trapped in the rubble.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after a school building collapse in Plateau State, which claimed 22 lives and injured 132 people. Additionally, it comes just eleven days after another building collapsed at Unity House in Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
The latest collapse happened in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory. One person is still reportedly trapped in the debris. Emergency responders and security personnel are on the scene, working tirelessly to rescue those still trapped.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with cranes and other necessary equipment being deployed to aid in the effort. The authorities are ensuring no further breakdown of law and order during the rescue mission.
