President Bola Tinubu has announced the division of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, into six campuses to enhance efficiency, ensure nationwide coverage, and improve operational capacity.

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) disclosed this development on Wednesday via its official X account, stating: “President Bola Tinubu has decided to split the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria–Kaduna State, into six campuses to ensure efficiency, national coverage, and smooth operations.”

The six campuses will be distributed across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones, with locations in Akure (Southwest), Osubi (South-South), Ebonyi (Southeast), Ilorin (North Central), Yola (Northeast), and Zaria (Northwest).

This move is expected to broaden access to aviation education and training while fostering regional participation in the country’s aviation sector. The expansion aligns with Tinubu’s broader policy of decentralizing key institutions for improved accessibility and effectiveness.

Further details on the operational timeline and funding structure for the new campuses are expected in subsequent updates.
