The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, has disclosed that she passed away due to cervical cancer. Aduke Gold died on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.
Her death had sparked various speculations, with initial reports claiming she died while undergoing fibroid surgery.
However, her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, refuted these claims in a video that has since gone viral on social media. He emphasized the need for people to verify information before spreading rumors, stating,
“Our daughter was ill; she had cervical cancer. She was taken to UCH in Ibadan, and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false.”
Fans and colleagues of the late singer continue to mourn her passing, expressing their grief and sharing tributes on social media.
