The Simon Ekpa-led Biafra Government in Exile (BRGIE) has announced December 2, 2024, as the date to present its 40 United States of Biafra map and issue a formal declaration.
In a statement released on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, via his official X handle, Ekpa, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of BRGIE, emphasized that this move aims to further consolidate efforts toward the actualization of Biafra’s independence.
“The Biafra Government is presenting the complete map of Biafra in preparation for the 2nd of December 2024,” Ekpa declared.
This announcement comes amid ongoing agitation for Biafra’s liberation, led by Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), despite strong opposition from the Nigerian government.
Recently, Ekpa engaged former United States lawmaker and lobbyist, James, to garner support from the US government for Biafra’s secession from Nigeria.
