The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 4.5% of the results from the ongoing Edo State governorship election onto its INEC Result Viewing Portal (IREV).

As of Saturday, reports indicate that 205 out of the 4,519 polling units in the state have successfully submitted their results to the IREV portal. The platform allows the public to view the election outcomes as they are uploaded.

The Edo governorship election has faced various challenges, including delays in the arrival of election materials, particularly due to heavy rains affecting parts of the state, especially in Edo Central. Despite these challenges, the voting process is ongoing, with the state’s 2.2 million registered voters casting their ballots to choose the next governor.

INEC is expected to continue updating the portal as more results are uploaded. Stay tuned for further updates as the election unfolds.
