Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 54-year-old music mogul, has been ordered to jail after being indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The indictment, revealed in a Manhattan court, details disturbing allegations of Combs abusing and coercing women and male sex workers over the years, often in drug-fueled sexual performances referred to as “Freak Offs.” These events reportedly involved his business associates and staff, who allegedly facilitated and covered up his actions.
Despite pleading not guilty and his legal team offering a $50 million bond for home detention, Combs was denied bail. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated they will fight the ruling and expressed confidence in their case. This indictment follows a series of civil suits and accusations, including a high-profile case from former girlfriend Cassie, which was settled last year. Federal investigations into Combs have also uncovered more accusations of sexual abuse and misconduct dating back decades.
The Southern District of New York’s US attorney, Damian Williams, stated that Combs used his influence and power to commit these crimes, leveraging control through drugs and financial support while employing violent tactics when his demands were not met.
