
Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has called out the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, accusing him of disregarding the rule of law in the ongoing local government crisis in the state.
Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, Davido vowed to publicly shame the commissioner daily until he is removed from office if he does not uphold justice.
“Mr. Commissioner, respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us!! Make we all kuru mad!! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post you every day everywhere, Mr. man!!! Try me.”
In a follow-up post, the Afrobeats star intensified his criticism, warning the police boss to step down.
“MAN STEP ASIDE!!! Game on!!! Oya men mount!! WHY ARE YOU GOING AGAINST THE RULE OF LAW!! I will post you every day till they sack you!!! You think say na only you mad abi? I mad pass.”
Davido went further to describe Umar Abba as a disgrace, stating that he would not stop calling him out until justice is served.
“Mr. Umar Abba, Osun State commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children!!! Game on, F**KER!!!! All of us go mad together!! Werey!!!”
Background to the Controversy
The singer’s outburst follows reports of violence and unrest linked to the Osun local government leadership crisis, which has seen clashes between rival political factions. Davido, a strong supporter of Governor Ademola Adeleke, has consistently used his platform to defend his family’s political interests in Osun.
The Osun State Police Command has yet to respond to the singer’s accusations.
