In a bid to ease transport costs for Nigerians during the holiday season, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in petrol prices to N899.50 per litre. The price cut was disclosed in a statement by the refinery’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina.

The refinery also introduced a special offer, allowing consumers to purchase an additional litre of petrol on credit for every litre bought in cash. This credit offer requires a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

This reduction follows a prior price drop in November when the refinery lowered the cost of petrol to N970 per litre.

Chiejina stated, “To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.”

The 650,000 barrels-per-day capacity refinery reaffirmed its dedication to providing Nigerians with premium quality, competitively priced petroleum products. It also aims to eliminate the importation of substandard and blended fuel, which have historically posed environmental and health risks.

Chiejina expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and highlighted the refinery’s role in fostering a healthier, more sustainable fuel market in the country.
