
Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Foundation, and Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and philanthropist, are among the dignitaries present at the ongoing National Economic Council (NEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting is presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
In attendance are governors Babagana Zulum (Borno), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), and Lawan Dauda (Zamfara), alongside deputy governors, some ministers, and state commissioners. The NEC meeting is expected to review the nation’s economic policy, including discussions on the recent fuel price increase.
Bill Gates commented, “Dangote and I have a lot in common,” reflecting on their shared interests in philanthropy and economic development in Africa.
