An Ikeja high court in Lagos, Nigeria has issued an interim order restraining social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, from further publishing or circulating any defamatory videos or comments about Nigerian rapper Falz and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana.
The court, presided over by Justice M.O. Dawodu, also directed VeryDarkMan to delete all defamatory content concerning the Falanas from his social media platforms. This ruling follows an ex parte application filed after VeryDarkMan shared an audio recording in which crossdresser Bobrisky, born Idris Okuneye, alleged that Falana and Falz offered to secure her a presidential pardon during her sentence for naira abuse in exchange for N10 million.
The court’s decision underscores the legal battle between the Falanas and VeryDarkMan over these claims, which both Falz and Femi Falana have denied.
