Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended following a positive result in a routine doping test, the club has confirmed.

In a statement, Chelsea revealed that the FA recently contacted Mudryk regarding an “adverse finding” in his urine sample. The Premier League side affirmed their commitment to the FA’s anti-doping programme, emphasizing that all players, including Mudryk, are regularly tested.

“Mykhailo has categorically confirmed that he has never knowingly used any banned substances,” the club stated. “Both Mykhailo and the Club will now work with the relevant authorities to establish what has caused the adverse finding.”

The suspension marks a significant development for the player and the club as investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the test result.
