
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced his final 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, follows an initial provisional list of 39 players released last week. These qualifiers mark Chelle’s first official games in charge of the three-time African champions.
The final squad features a mix of experienced players and fresh faces, comprising three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards.

Goalkeepers: Amas Obasogie, Kayode Bankole, Stanley Nwabali.
Defenders: Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Igoh Ogbu, William Troost-Ekong.
Midfielders: Alex Iwobi, Alhassan Yusuf, Joe Aribo, Papa Daniel Mustapha, Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi.
