A newly surfaced CCTV video has revealed the moment armed military officers forcibly entered the Ikeja Electric office, allegedly assaulting staff members in the process.
The footage, which went viral on social media platform X on Monday, shows the officers, dressed in full military gear and wielding whips, kicking down doors and barging into offices. A female employee was seen fleeing in fear as the officers stormed the premises.
According to Ikeja Electric, the incident occurred after the company disconnected a military facility over an outstanding electricity bill of N4 billion. This invasion follows an earlier report on March 6 detailing a similar incident involving armed military personnel at the power company’s office.
The video, shared by Arise TV journalist Oseni Rufai, has sparked public outrage, with many calling for accountability over the officers’ actions.
