Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma, also known as Carolyna Hutchings, has refuted singer Oritsefemi’s claims that she was “legally married” to the late Tagbo Umeike, a close friend of Davido.
Oritsefemi had alleged in an interview with Chude Jideonwo that Caroline was married to Tagbo and had an affair with him. He further blamed Caroline for influencing his wife, Nabila Fash, to marry him for his money.
In a statement issued through her publicist, Caroline clarified, “For clarification, the only man Dr. Carolyna Danjuma Hutchings has ever been married to and has children for is her ex-husband, Chief Barrister Musa Danjuma.”
Caroline’s team also announced plans to take legal action against Oritsefemi. “Finally, our legal team, in view of these despicable claims made by said Oritsefemi against our focused and amiable client, Dr. Carolyna Danjuma Hutchings, will be taking legal actions against Mr. Oritsefemi,” the statement read.
The statement concluded with a challenge to Oritsefemi to provide proof of his claims. “We are interested in the said civil marriage certificate and pictures inclusive of all evidence to prove his claims beyond reasonable doubt which he boldly made on a recent podcast show.”
Caroline’s strong denial and the impending legal actions underscore the seriousness of the accusations and her commitment to clearing her name.
