The Christian Association of Nigeria in Osun State has invited a pastor identified as Ezekiel following allegations that he led a group to invade the Osun-Osogbo Grove, a revered cultural and spiritual site.

The pastor, said to be in charge of a church in Ido-Osun, was accused of entering the grove alongside others, where shrines were reportedly desecrated during the incident.

The chairman of CAN in the state confirmed that the invitation was issued to allow the pastor explain his role in the incident, as concerns continue to grow over the reported actions at the sacred site.

The development has generated tension among traditional worshippers, who view the grove as a protected heritage site and have condemned the alleged intrusion.

Authorities and stakeholders are expected to further assess the situation as calls increase for accountability and respect for religious and cultural boundaries.
