Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has achieved a historic feat, setting a new record for the highest-grossing tour by an African artiste in the United States.
His ‘I Told Them’ tour grossed an impressive $15.5 million from 15 shows, with revenue from six more concerts still to be reported.
The tour’s success was confirmed by American tour statistics company, Touring Data, which provided a detailed breakdown of concert ticket sales in North America and Canada.
The ‘I Told Them’ tour has already grossed over $11.6 million across 11 reported shows, solidifying Burna Boy’s position as a leading figure in Afrobeats and a major international touring act.
This achievement marks another milestone in Burna Boy’s career, following his sold-out show at Citi Field in New York, which made him the first Nigerian artiste to headline a stadium in America.
His continued success reflects the growing popularity of Afrobeats music on the global scene.
