Popular socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has claimed that his ongoing feud with Afrofusion star Burna Boy is fueled by jealousy over his close relationship with singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
In recent weeks, Cubana Chief Priest and Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, have engaged in heated exchanges on social media, stirring speculation about the root cause of their fallout.
However, during an interview on Rubbin’ Minds, a Channels Television program aired on Sunday, the nightlife promoter alleged that Burna Boy’s grievances stemmed from his choice to align with Davido rather than the Last Last crooner.
“my whole issue with burna boy started because he was jealous of my relationship with davido. he wanted cp by his side, but i chose to work with davido. me and davido have never discussed anything about burna boy,” he stated.
Cubana Chief Priest also dismissed suggestions that he and Davido had ever spoken about Burna Boy, insisting that their relationship is purely professional and based on mutual respect.
“davido isn’t the kind of person who would use his time to discuss his colleagues. it’s always them imagining things and trying to drag us,” he added.
The rivalry between Davido and Burna Boy has been well-documented, with both artists engaging in subtle jabs and online clashes over the years. Cubana Chief Priest’s latest claim adds another layer to the long-standing tension in Nigeria’s music and entertainment scene.
