Social media influencer Okuneye Idris, known as Bobrisky, faced detention once again, this time while attempting to board an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight late Thursday night. Nigerian immigration officials removed Bobrisky from the flight, with the influencer alleging injuries during the incident and accusing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of being behind his detainment.

Posting on Instagram, Bobrisky wrote, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”

This marks the latest development in Bobrisky’s legal troubles, which began in April 2024 with a six-month prison sentence for naira abuse. Rumors circulated that a bribe had secured a relocation from Kirikiri Prison, where he was initially assigned. The situation escalated in September when an influencer leaked an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed that Falz and his father, lawyer Femi Falana, sought ₦10 million for a presidential pardon. Both Falz and Falana have since demanded an apology, which Bobrisky denied issuing, blaming the leak on the influencer instead.
