Controversial crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, is currently in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State, after being apprehended by immigration authorities. Bobrisky was arrested by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Sunday during an attempt to leave the country via the Seme border.

A source confirmed the arrest, stating, “Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at the Seme Border and brought him for safekeeping. He remains in detention at the FCID.”

The FCID spokesperson, Mayegun Aminat, also confirmed Bobrisky’s detention on Tuesday, saying, “He is detained at FCID Alagbon. We are in the process of obtaining a remand order to keep him in custody.”

The Nigeria Immigration Service had earlier declared Bobrisky a person of interest, with spokesperson Kenneth Udo explaining, “Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, was intercepted at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”

Udo added that the NIS remains committed to maintaining security at Nigeria’s borders.
