Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, is reportedly contemplating suicide following allegations of a N15 million bribery scheme against him.

Activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording in which Bobrisky purportedly offered the sum to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges and evade imprisonment at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State.

Bobrisky has vehemently denied the authenticity of the audio, labeling it as fake. Despite this denial, he took to Facebook to express his distress, stating, “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow human just in the name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them.” He also mentioned a lack of sympathy from those around him, lamenting, “People I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters?”

The controversy continues to unfold as more individuals and entities weigh in on the situation, with calls for further investigation into the bribery claims.
