Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, 22, has now become the most-viewed Nigerian female artiste on YouTube, surpassing Yemi Alade. Starr reached 811 million views on the platform, overtaking Alade’s 805 million views.
Starr’s most-watched video, “Rush,” has garnered over 395 million views, making it the most-viewed music video by a Nigerian female artiste. The record was previously held by Alade’s hit “Johnny.”
Despite this new milestone, Alade still holds the top spot for the highest number of subscribers among Nigerian female artists, with 2.41 million subscribers. Starr follows closely with 2.26 million subscribers.
