Troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have arrested three individuals suspected of collaborating with terrorists in Taraba State. The operation took place on October 15, 2024, in Landey Jessy village, located in the Lau local government area, following intelligence reports of terrorist activities.

In a statement released on Friday by the Acting spokesperson for the Brigade, Captain Oni Olubodunde, it was revealed that the operation was prompted by reports of bandit activity in the Kona mountain range, which stretches across Jalingo and Lau council areas.

“The troops acted swiftly and arrested three suspects identified as Ahijo Sulaiman, Abdulrahman Isah, and Aisha Mohammed,” the statement said.

During interrogation, Aisha Mohammed, the wife of Ahijo Sulaiman, admitted that their home was used to store weapons following terrorist operations. Additionally, Abdulrahman Isah was identified by a victim who alleged that he attempted to kidnap them in September 2024 in Iware, located in the Ardo-Kola local government council.

The suspects are currently in the custody of the Nigerian Army for further investigation.
