Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh, has officially been granted a legal name change. The 18-year-old, who turned 18 on May 27, has dropped Pitt’s surname and now goes by Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

Shiloh filed the necessary paperwork to remove “Pitt” from her name on May 30, and a legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times to comply with California law. The name change comes eight years after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016, a process that remains ongoing despite their legal separation in 2019.

Shiloh is one of six children shared by the former couple, who are also parents to Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Over the years, Jolie and Pitt have been involved in various legal disputes, including custody battles and disagreements over shared business interests.

The reasons behind Shiloh’s decision to change her name have not been disclosed, and representatives for Brad Pitt have not commented on the matter.
