Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has fired back at Regina Daniels following a heated online exchange sparked by Angela’s controversial remarks about fellow actress Mercy Johnson. The drama began when Angela went live on Instagram, claiming Mercy Johnson is seriously ill and urging her to seek forgiveness from people she allegedly wronged in the past. The comments drew widespread criticism, with many accusing Angela of insensitivity. Regina Daniels was among those who publicly condemned Angela’s remarks.
Regina responded sharply, questioning Angela’s behavior and warning her not to speak recklessly about someone’s mother, especially since Mercy Johnson has children who might come across such comments in the future. Regina also suggested Angela’s statements lacked basic sense and proper upbringing.
In a recent Instagram story, Angela addressed Regina directly, referencing her marriage and upbringing. She said, “You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with your mum… I thought you were sensible enough to marry a man of your age.” Angela accused Regina of disrespect and asserted that she had no moral right to comment on the matter. She warned Regina to stop insulting her, adding, “You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me? If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten.”
Angela further advised young girls to focus on self-respect and financial independence, accusing Regina of lacking proper home training. She concluded her message with a stern warning: “Last warning @regina.daniels. I no dey see anybody wey no get respect o.”
In another post, Angela mocked Regina, saying, “Dem don push small Regina to come talk for them,” and recalled how Regina once admired her while growing up. Angela criticized Regina’s choice of men and accused her of marrying for money, insinuating infidelity in Regina’s marriage. She ended with a sharp rebuke, claiming Regina has no home training and warning her to “go drink cold water.”
The exchange has intensified the ongoing social media feud between the two actresses, capturing the attention of Nollywood fans and followers.
