The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Nigerian referee Joseph Ogabor to officiate the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifying match between Tunisia and Comoros.
The match, part of matchday three in the qualifiers, will take place on Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Rades, Tunisia.
Ogabor, who is a lecturer at the University of Calabar, will be assisted by three other Nigerian officials. Samuel Pwadutakam has been named the first assistant referee, while Abdulmajeed Usman Olaide will serve as the second assistant referee. Basheer Salisu has been appointed as the fourth official.
In addition, Fatou Gaye from Senegal will act as the referee assessor for the game.
This appointment continues Nigeria’s strong representation in African football officiating. The game is expected to be a key moment in the AFCON 2025 qualification process.
