Nigerian-born UFC star Israel Adesanya has placed a $10,000 bet on Anthony Joshua, backing the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion to win his IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois.
The highly anticipated bout is set for September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium, England.
In an Instagram post, Adesanya shared proof of his stake made on September 17, 2024, with the caption, “ÒGÚN‼ This fight got beef…grab the #stake sauce.” He revealed that he predicted Joshua would claim victory between the 10th and 12th rounds, with a potential payout of $50,000.
Dubois, 26, has been vocal about his ambition to defeat Joshua, declaring, “I aim to knock him out. That’s the programme… I’m going to focus my whole life on destroying him and just being a good destroyer.”
Joshua, 33, is entering the fight with confidence, having secured four consecutive victories, including a knockout win over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
