Nigerian football star Ademola Lookman, fresh from his historic achievements on the pitch, has presented his 2024 CAF African Footballer of the Year award to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Lookman, who recently scored a memorable hat trick in the Europa League final and was named Africa’s best footballer for 2024, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina. The governor shared the special moment on social media, commending Lookman for his discipline, dedication, and the inspiration he brings to millions of young Nigerians.

“His journey is a powerful reminder of how far passion, discipline, and hard work can take you. He is focused, grounded, and fully aware of the responsibility he carries as a role model,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated. He also thanked Lookman for “flying the Nigerian flag high and showing the world what we’re made of.”

After meeting with the governor, Lookman proceeded to visit President Tinubu, where he presented his CAF Player of the Year plaque. The footballer took photos with both the President and the Governor, marking a proud moment for Nigerian sports.

Lookman’s visit and recognition come as he continues to shine on both the African and European football stages, earning widespread praise and national admiration for his outstanding performances and commitment to excellence.
